This is another example of why I will not pass up on a Brenda Rothert book especially her Blaze series. I loved the first two in this series but I think that this one won me over even more. Two people who couldn't seem to be more opposite of the other form a friendship that seems like it would never work.
Lindy has had a crush on Victor for years and she never thought that she would ever be the one that became friends with him and would become an important person in his life. Victor is struggling not only at work trying to stay on the first line but in his personal life. Lindy enters his life when he needs it most and he loves how refreshingly honest, kind and loyal she is. Never expecting things to escalate.
I loved these two together and their journey they go on. Brenda delivered a story that has serious subjects in it but in a way that didn't bring the "mood" down. It just added an element to this book that will touch you that much more. This is definitely a MUST READ!!!
