PROLOGUE REVEAL

Prologue

Dalton
They tell me I used to love the color black.
There are many things from my past that I hate.
Myself and the dark color surrounding me are the two things leading the pack right now.
People whimper and cry beside me, and I’m just numb, so broken that my pieces can’t combine enough to form wetness in my own eyes.
I deserve this.
I deserve watching the love of my life with her ashen face and hands crossed on her stomach in constant repose as the preacher talks about her devotion to life and helping others.
I deserve the looks from her mother and father that speak of the million ungodly things they wish would happen to me.
I deserve the blame my own parents planted at my feet for my involvement in the steps that led up to today.
I deserve it all.
The torture.
The accident.
The getting my heart ripped from my chest because of an undiagnosed brain bleed that snuffed out the life of the most beautiful girl in the world.
She was fine when I left the hospital that day. Even her mother assured me she would be okay.
She didn’t deserve this.
She didn’t deserve the monster that tormented her daily.
She didn’t deserve to suffer at the hands of an idiotic boy and the army of bastards willing to hurt her at his command.
She deserved the world, and yet she gets a wooden box and six feet of dirt, all the while I’m left on earth without her.
I can’t do that.
That can’t happen.
Our story doesn’t end this way.
It should be me in that casket. Me leaving this world behind so she can shine in the bright light of the sun and live her life to all its glory.
It should be me.
It should be me.
It should be me.
My hand trembles as I reach into the inside pocket of my sports coat.
I’m not scared or afraid of what comes next.
It’s the anticipation, the thrill of joining her that makes my blood sing, the unused energy making my fingers twitch.
July sun glints off the barrel as I hold my salvation to my head and pull the trigger.

Review Blitz w/Giveaway for Scooter (Cerberus MC #11) by Marie James

🔥🔥 NEW RELEASE 🔥🔥

Scooter by Marie James is LIVE!!! FREE in KU!

These guys are just so addicting!~I Love HEA Romance Book Blog

I’m no one’s savior.
I work with the Cerberus MC for the thrills, not for the glory.
Saving people who’ve been trafficked is just a side benefit, coming in second to the adrenaline rush of eradicating some of the evil in the world.
Mia Vazquez didn’t seem to get the memo.
When I pulled her out of Hell, she wouldn’t let go. She literally wrapped her arms around my neck and refused to release me.
I did the only thing I could do; I held her back.
For weeks I stayed by her side, comforting her and assuring her things would eventually get better.
She managed to climb inside of me, and then she took off.
Mia Vazquez didn’t get the memo.
She’s mine, and letting go of me doesn’t mean I’ll let go of her.

Scooter (Cerberus MC #11)Scooter by Marie James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love the men of Cerberus MC. They rescue those who victims of the sex trafficking industry and get rid of those that are involved in it. In this one they are out rescuing Max's twin sister who was kidnapped. Scooter never expected that when he found her their lives would never be the same again.

Of course Mia's life has been changed but having Scooter aka Ryan is one thing that really makes an impact. Ryan never expected to be such an important supporting person with Mia and he never expected to be so drawn to her. He doesn't see her constant need to be with him and around him as a burden and he ends up needing her as well. Things aren't going to be easy. Mia has a lot to overcome and maybe Ryan does as well.

Their story isn't all flowers and rainbows but the connection and love that grows between them is beautiful. I couldn't get enough of this book and loved seeing it all play out.

Release Blitz w/Review for Griffin (Cerberus MC Book 8) by Marie James

Title: Griffin
Author: Marie James

Amazon
US | UK | CA | AU

Series: Cerberus MC; Book 8
Genre: MC Romance

I was the golden child. The one all the Cerberus guys looked up to. I was on my way to becoming the next career Marine.

But after my last deployment to Syria, being a Marine was no longer an option.

Unfortunately, my not so honorable discharge from the Corps didn't get rid of the demons created while I was enlisted.

Not even my childhood friend can save me. I'll destroy her just like I destroyed everything else I touched.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My heart absolutely broke for the struggle that Griffin goes through. He is in such a bad place that he can't see the help that is right in front of his face. He doesn't want to put others in jeopardy and instead wallows and suffers alone, ruins relationships and hurts those that care about him.

Ivy, oh man that girl has a heart of gold. She has loved Griffin for years but he never sees her, just when she thinks things could be different her heart get battered over and over again. Griffin needs Ivy but he hasn't woken up to see what is in front of him and the journey these two take is an emotional one that had me feeling such a wide range of emotions.

This was another great Cerberus MC book and I can never get enough of these. Marie does such a great job with her stories. You can feel the emotions they are feeling and the struggle and it made me fall that much more in love with this book.
