Doughn't Let Me Go by Teagan Hunter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have been really enjoying this series of standalones. Now with that being said I have read them all and I love that because the previous and possible future characters show up in all the books. Not only are these characters tackling some issues with themselves and their love lives but there is comedy as well. I love books that are well rounded that way.

Porter and Dory both have experiences from the pasts that leave them hesitant to opening themselves up for more heartbreak but one is a tougher sell than the other. When they decide to just keep it to sex and leave feelings out of it that is just an opening for more and the journey is one that will have you sucked in and rooting for them to find their way.

This was another truly enjoyable book in the series and I really hope that Sully is next. I would definitely recommend this book!!!

I hate Drew Woods, and she hates me. 

Even so, I’m not the cold jerk most make me out to be, and I have no problem moving the single mom and her baby into my home. I do, however, draw a line when it comes to acting on the way her loose lips make me feel.

Alive.

She’s too mouthy, too prying, and her curves are way too distracting.

I might have lost my way after a nearly fatal car accident, but I’m not stupid. Giving in to Drew would be a short-lived fix for this pain I’m saddled with, and I knead something permanent.

I’d be insane to think what we have could be anything other than temporary…right?

I Knead You Tonight by Teagan Hunter

I am loving this crazy group of characters in the Slice series by Teagan Hunter. These books are hilarious with characters that have demons and hurdles they have to conquer before they find their happy ending.

Winston comes off as nothing but a stoner who doesn't care about much. Drew is a single mother who works hard and doesn't have time to take it easy. The relationship that Winston and Drew have had for years is one with funny but sometimes downright mean barbs.

There is more lurking beneath the surface with Winston that he hasn't shown in a long time. He has a lot of soul searching to do. He comes across as a jerk but he is more like an elementary school boy when it comes to Drew. You know how they pick on the girl they like?? That is him. He didn't think he ever stood a chance with Drew and truly just wanted to help her out but he finds it harder and harder to fight falling for her. Now he must prove himself to her and to himself.

Love, love, loved this book. I fall in love with these two and couldn't wait to see it all play out.
